Our favorite thought provoker, London based 'SCHOOL OF LIFE' recently posted a commentary on 'Why Small Pleasures Are a Big Deal' reminding us of the innate pleasures and oft overlooked importance of 'small things'.
Things whose comforts are great yet whose inherent nature so simple that we fail to fully acknowledge how truly satisfying they are. Think a good book, a hot shower, a chirping bird, the bright sun, a shadowing tree, a smile.
While we busy ourselves aspiring to the 'more grandiose' in life whose own pleasures can be enticing but whose true value can be deceiving... things more expensive, larger in scale, more famous... we tend to under appreciate the utter satisfaction of things so easily within reach.
Why do we even bring this up here? Because 'small things' are the vast majority of things we find so compelling, satisfying and rewarding in formulating one's own style quotient they are the focus of our quarterly STYLE-O-MATIC picks.
